Rally for the Trial of the Century
	This open mic rally is to support a  <https://www.ourchildrenstrust.org/us/federal-lawsuit/>l <https://www.ourchildrenstrust.org/us/federal-lawsuit/>awsuit originally filed in 2015 <https://www.ourchildrenstrust.org/us/federal-lawsuit/> by 21 youth against the federal government (Juliana v. U.S.). Their complaint asserts that, through the government's affirmative actions that cause climate change, it has violated the youngest generation’s constitutional rights to life, liberty, and property, as well as failed to protect essential public trust resources.

Checkpoint Nation
	Texas Observer reporter Melissa del Bosque <https://www.melissadelbosque.com/> will discuss her article “Checkpoint Nation” with Harper’s Magazine associate editor Rachel Poser. The article, a collaboration between the two magazines, examines the border zone—a buffer of about 100 miles that runs along any U.S. border—where U.S. Customs and Border Protection has been given the freedom to trample on constitutional rights in the name of security.

“Combatting Human Trafficking” with Karen Countryman-Roswurm
	Karen Countryman-Roswurm <https://www.wichita.edu/academics/fairmount_college_of_liberal_arts_and_sciences/socialwork/FacultyAndStaff/countrymanroswurm.php>, founder and Executive Director of the Center for Combatting Human Trafficking <http://combatinghumantrafficking.org/>, will discuss her work with homeless, runaway, and “throwaway” youth and the problem of domestic minor sex trafficking. Countryman-Roswurm is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at Wichita State University in Kansas.

Language Justice, a Community Conversation with Indigenous and Asian-American activists 
	The Austin Language Justice Collective will host an event with Anh Ly, a senior at UT-Austin and language justice researcher and activist, who will present her insights on the experience of speakers of Vietnamese in Austin, and Odilia Romero and Janet Martinezare leaders of the indigenous-run organization, the Front of Indigenous Binational Organizations in Los Angeles, who will discuss organizing for language rights in Los Angeles since the 1990s.

Screening of "Dirt Rich"
	This new documentary demonstrates that regenerative agriculture and reforestation are needed to ensure a global food supply and to mitigate climate change. A panel with the filmmaker will follow.

Law and the Reproduction of Food Poverty
	Tomaso Ferrando, a Lecturer in Law at the University of Bristol, will speak on “Law and the Reproduction of Food Poverty.” Author Raj Patel from the LBJ School of Public Affairs will respond to Ferrando’s talk.
